Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony of the World Championships will be held in Dóm Square. As usual you might say. Yes, the historical Dóm Square was the location of opening ceremonies on two previous occasions, the two World Championships Szeged hosted in 1998 and 2006. The programme of the Opening Ceremony is not worked out in every detail yet but it will surely be lively and invigorating, inspiring and colorful, loud and spectacular. So come back to this page from time to time and hopefully you will find out who the performers are. We guarantee that the protocol part will be as short as possible so don’t be late! See you all in Dóm Square in the evening of the 17th of August (Wednesday).
