Access/Parking
Directions
The National Olympic Watersports Centre is located a few kilometers west of the downtown of Szeged. Szeged Airport is right next to the regatta course, with Road No. 55 (Szeged-Baja) running on the north, and Road No. 5. (Szeged-Subotica) on the south. Spectators may enter the venue from Road No. 55.
By Car
The venue of the World Championships is best approached via highway M5. Take exit 166, turn left and drive an additional 3 kms towards Szeged, until you reach the roundabout. Parking lots will be marked with appropriate signage from this point on. A parking fee must be paid.
Similarly to prior World Championships, you may use the parking lot of Szeged Airport, larger buses may use the grassy area next to the roundabout. Shuttles will be transferring spectators from the parking lot to the gates, and shuttles will return spectators to the parking lot at the end of the day.
We ask you kindly to refrain from walking from the parking lot as the road will have high traffic therefore extremely dangerous!
You may also expect crowding at the shuttle at the end of the day, we do thank you for your patience and understanding.
Cars must leave the parking lot at the end of the day, no car may be left in the parking lot overnight. Shuttles will run until the last spectators have left the spectators' tribune and stands by the regatta course.

Motorbike, Bicycle
Spectators arriving by motorbike or bicycle may park their vehicles next to the bus stop at the roundabout on Road No. 55.
Bus Service
Bus no. 40C (timetable) will serve the regatta course from downtown Szeged and will take passengers all the way to the entry gates. Buses will also have a stop at the parking lot for cars.
Train
Buses will run between the main Szeged Railway Station and the regatta course. Departures times will be adjusted to the train schedule by the organisers. Buses will take passengers all the way to the entry gates.
Ticket and Pass Pick-Up
Those arriving with a printed online voucher to Szeged may collect their tickets or passes at the entry gates close to the 1000m line.
We kindly request our guests in wheelchairs that they do purchase their tickets in advance at one of the IBUSZ branches. We are offering free shuttle service from the parking lot for those with a ticket and one assistant to the section fitted to their needs.
